A solo oboe sample library for Kontakt
Memory Oboe is a solo oboe Kontakt library for composers who put the tune in the open air. It sits exposed, holds a phrase, and still has teeth when the cue turns. Built for film, TV and games.

Feature Deep Dive
On an oboe, a legato join is two buzzes meeting. Get it wrong and the line reads as a patch. AI-P is the processing stage every sample passes through before the library reaches you — models and algorithms working on the recorded waveform, not synthesis, not a real-time effect. The performances stay the performances; we refine them below the level hands can reach.
What's new in this release is the loops. We aimed phase convergence at the loop point itself, so holding a note down is far more seamless than anything we've shipped before. A long, exposed note just sits there. These are the cleanest loops we have made.
The rest of the pipeline runs across the whole instrument — every articulation, round robin, dynamic layer and mic position. Internal testing rates the legato at roughly twice the realism of conventional true-legato.

Feature Deep Dive
AI-P handles the samples. Legato Aid handles you. It works in real time, closing gaps and overlaps as you play — whether you're performing a line in on a keyboard or hitting play on MIDI you wrote last week. The moment where two notes don't quite meet and the phrase snags gets taken care of while you're still playing.
The payoff is time. Sketches come out closer to finished takes. Finished takes need less clean-up before the cue goes out. Less nudging note ends around in the piano roll.
Feature Deep Dive
Three lengths of short, down to staccatississimo, so you can articulate a run without reaching for a different patch. Repeated notes are timbre-matched, so a fast passage doesn't expose a cycle. Beyond that: harmonics, semitone and whole-tone trills, key clicks, and slap tongue recorded both with and without the reed.
The slap is performed on the instrument. It is not a short note reversed.

Performer
Eleanor Tinlin is an oboist known for her versatility and passion for crossing different musical genres and worlds. Equally at home in a concert hall, recording studio or West End pit, her work spans classical, jazz, pop, rock, and contemporary music. She has performed in many of the most prestigious venues both across the UK and all over the world.
In demand as both a live and session player, she has recorded, performed and toured with a wide range of artists, bands and musical theatre productions, and can be heard on numerous albums, TV and film soundtracks.
Recorded with London oboist Eleanor Tinlin, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music. Her credits include oboe and cor anglais for Cosmo Sheldrake, and oboe with Parallax Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall. She plays a line rather than a note, which is the whole reason this library can sit out front.
A melody line that stays a melody line, all the way to the last bar. $79 opening price, down from $200.
